Our son was born with a mild physical disability that effects the mobility in one arm and shoulder. This, coupled with less than compassionate teachers at school, made him the perfect bully target. School days were a nightmare dominated by bruises, anxiety and fear. A friend of ours recommended the Next Generation program to us, but we were apprehensive about enrolling because of the disability. Flash forward only nine months, and he’s more confident, much less reactive to inappropriate or aggressive behavior in others, and excited about school again. As an unexpected blessing, the program has actually mitigated a lot of the disability that almost kept us from enrolling him! Using his Krav Maga warm-ups, he now actively enjoys our daily stretching, and he has gained strength, boosted his reflexes, and his mobility has improved beyond what we were told it ever could.

I feel very fortunate that my son is part of the Next Generation Krav Maga program. I was looking for a self-defense program to enroll him in for his 6th birthday. I have always had an interest in Krav Maga for myself because of the practical, no nonsense approach to self-defense. The Next Generation Krav Maga program is second to none! The instructors are great and the program is very balanced. My son started the Next Generation program 5 months ago and he absolutely loves it! The Next Generation instructors provide wonderful lessons for the kids including life lessons such as maintaining a positive attitude, honesty, and focus. The program also provides a great introduction to fitness, and of course, teaches kids one of the best personal defense systems ever developed—Krav Maga!

When I started looking into self-defense training classes, I wanted to find a school that would give my daughter immediately useful skills as well as build her fitness and self-confidence. A school whose instructors were kind and nurturing (but also firm and serious when necessary) and understood the fears and complexities of dealing with children. My search led me to Next Generation Krav Maga. I worried that my daughter might be frightened by talk about ‘bad people’ and self-defense and by violence and fighting. My initial fears vanished once I watched the instructors interact with my daughter and the other children. They have the unique ability to teach kids how to defend themselves, teach them about the dangers that may be out there, and she somehow manage to do this in a gentle and kind way – never frightening or intimidating.The skills NGKM teach are practical. My daughter has a toolbox of techniques that she can effectively use if needed. She is about to take her first test and I couldn’t be happier with her progress, with her school and with her teachers. Highly recommended!

You have to know what an awesome job you are doing! My kids are responding in ways that even fascinate me!!! My daughter was really looking forward to her first year at Kindergarten at Public School near our home. We sent her with high hopes that her first day would not be too rough or hard on her, in addition to all the other “first day of school” anxieties. Unfortunately, some of our fears were realized when my daughter came home with a rather large bump on the back of her head after school that day. She told us another girl in the lunch line threw her backpack at her head causing her to hit her head against the concrete lunch room wall. Since beginning the classes, my two children have learned that the first rule of Krav is: ‘I don’t want to fight’, and many other amazing things. They have grown more confident and inspired me to take Krav Maga. The instructors are all awesome and well trained and have a natural ability with children. To add to all this, it’s a good parent and child bonding experience. There is a lot of energy and parent participation in the room and my children always leave smiling. I highly recommend this program to all parents with children and hope to see you there!
